Successful weekend for KKrämer Racing at 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers. G-Tech Competition also wins

ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers

Meuspath. Double action for the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring teams at the ADAC 24h Qualifiers: at the final race weekend for the season's highlight on the Nordschleife, the ADAC TotalEnergies 24h Nürburgring (26-29 May 2022), a total of 14 cars from the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring started in the two 3-hour races on Saturday and Sunday, which are not part of the championship. The participants were enthusiastic about the top qualifying session on Sunday, which was held not only for GT3 cars for the first time: The starting grid was determined in the individual time trial over two laps on the combination of the Nürburgring GP circuit and Nordschleife. KKrämer Racing (#127) triumphed three times: the team from Bergisch Gladbach won both races in the Cup 2 class with the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) in commanding fashion and took victory in Cup 3 on Saturday with car number #255. On Sunday, G-Tech Competition (#253) took first place in the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS (982).

Three class wins: KKrämer confident for 24-hour race

Karsten Krämer's team can look back on a perfect weekend: in both qualifying sessions, the team with the #127 set the fastest time. After three hours of racing distance each, the team boss himself, Christopher Brück and Alexej Veremenko - on Saturday with additional support from Moritz Kranz - celebrated victory in the Cup 2 class. "This was a very good weekend. We are happy and well prepared for the season highlight, the 24h race," said Karsten Krämer. "We are looking forward to the race in three weeks with confidence. The competition will definitely be much higher there as well." Alexander Kroker, who was the final driver in car number #255 on Saturday evening, was also satisfied: "The team did a mega job and everything went right in the race. Towards the end, the conditions were very difficult: due to water and oil on the track, I had difficult visibility and it was extremely slippery. But it was incredibly fun to drive into the dusk."

Cayman instead of GT3 Cup for G-Tech Competition

In the second race on Sunday, Patrik Grütter, Fabio Grosse and Herbert Lösch of G-Tech Competition (#253) took the win in Cup 3 class. Grütter and Grosse compete in the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring in the Cup 2 class, but for the 24-hour race they switched to last year's winning car in the Cup 3 class. The trio crossed the finish line more than three minutes ahead of second-placed Martin Meenen, Tobias Wahl and Reinhold Renger of Team Black Falcon (#260). Finishing third in both races were Jürgen Vöhringer, René Höber and Sebastien Carcone of W&S Motorsport (#250). "With the top qualifying for all teams, a new format was introduced. To be able to be alone on the Nordschleife for two laps is fantastic," said Fabio Grosse of G-Tech Competition about the individual time trial. "We stopped after lap one, with a new best time for our class. We showed a good performance and pace that we'll take to the 24h race and look forward to hitting the track again in three weeks."

The 24-hour race at the Nürburgring for teams from the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring

The ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers, as well as the ADAC TotalEnergies 24h Nürburgring (May 25-29) are not part of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring. The one-make series is held exclusively as part of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS).
"For the teams of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring there is the possibility to start at the 24 hours race and also at the Qualifiers in the Cup 2 and Cup 3 class. And this with the same technical regulations of the PETN. However, the events are not part of the PETN classifications, instead we will offer special bonuses for the 24 hour race as in previous years. At the same time, our support will be on site, as usual at the NLS races," summarizes Julia Klee, who is responsible for the organization of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring.

The next round of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring will take place on June 25, 2022, as part of the Nürburgring Endurance Series.
